Staffing Analysis, Considerations: None Recommendation: Purchasing is requesting that City Council approve PO No. 7163 authorizing the sale of technology items. Technology Equipment will be sold to Global Assets through their Buy Board Contract. The equipment includes all outdated computer equipment, such as CPUs,printers, televisions, fax machines, etc. Budget Consideration: None P. O. No. 7163 08/11/2023 Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur has surplus property as described in Exhibit "A" to wit; technology equipment which has become obsolete and/or non-functional; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be in the best interest of the City to sell said technology property to obtain the best possible price; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 22-454, the City of Port Arthur entered into a Master IT Recovery; Recycle Agreement with Global Asset of Carrollton, Texas through Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract No. 661-22 for the disposition of technology assets. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager, together with the Purchasing Manager, pursuant to Article XIV, Section 7 of the Charter of the City of Port Arthur, to sell the above-named surplus property, said property attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit"A". Section 2. That the City Manager, together with the Purchasing Manager are hereby authorized and empowered to sell the surplus technology at the contract price. Section 3. That this being an Ordinance not requiring publication the same shall take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage. Section 4. That a copy of the caption of this Ordinance be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council. P O 7163 P.
