Nature of the request: Request that City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a one-year contract with Impact Promotional Services LLC dba Got you Covered Work and Wear Uniforms, Fort Worth, Texas with Buy Board pricing for the purchase of Port Arthur Fire Department uniform components such as pants, shirts, belts,hats, duty boots and jackets. Background The Port Arthur Fire Department has uniform requirements for members to meet professional appearance standards. Promotional Services LLC, Fort Worth, Texas, dba Got You Covered Work Wear and Uniforms can provide all Port Arthur Fire Department uniform requirements under Buy Board contract 670-22. Uniforms are replaced on as a needed basis. Recommendations: The Port Arthur Fire Department recommends approval of P.R. 23167. Budget Considerations: The contract amount will be budgeted for in FY 23-24 PAFD Account#001-19-047-5251-00- 30-000. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH IMPACT PROMOTIONAL SERVICES LLC, FORT WORTH, TEXAS, UNDER A BUYBOARD CONTRACT NO. 670-22, FOR THE PURCHASE OF UNIFORMS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, WITH A PROJECTED BUDGETARY IMPACT OF $50,000.00; FUNDING AVAILABLE IN FY23-24 FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS ACCOUNT NO. 001-19-047-5251-00-30-000. WHEREAS, Port Arthur supplies members of the Port Arthur Fire Department uniforms for professionalism and work safety; and, WHEREAS, Impact Promotional Services LLC, dba Got You Covered Work Wear& Uniforms, is an approved vendor through a Buyboard contract; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 271 of the Local Government Code, a city may participate in a cooperative purchasing program such as BuyBoard as an alternative to formal bid process; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 02-341, the City of Port Arthur entered into an interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing with the BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Program; and, WHEREAS,Impact Promotional Services LLC,dba Got You Covered Work Wear & Uniforms,has provided a quote for uniform shirts, pants, belts, hats, winter jackets and duty boots with BuyBoard Contract No. 670-22 pricing; (see quotes attached hereto as Exhibit "A"); now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Council herein authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Impact Promotional Services LLC,of Fort Worth Texas,through BuyBoard Contract No. 670-22 for the purchase of Fire Department uniforms, with a projected budgetary impact of$50,000, in substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit "B" Section 3.
