COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Key Family Recreation Attributes
One of the primary design features of the park is a
focus on creating a core recreation zone that allows
for the use of existing facilities with an expanded
program capacity.
The family recreation space has several shaded and
open picnic stations, expanded playground features
to allow for more accessible use, a centralized splash
pad and expanded accessible fitness stations.
Community & Events Attributes
By utilizing the existing tree canopy as a natural
gathering space, a small community and events area
created with a large open air pavilion, small outdoor
performance stage and a series of seating options.
The space is further enhanced with outdoor game
tables, trails and additional picnic gathering areas.
The Community & Events area is anchored by an
enhanced park entrance drive and parking.
Key Programmed Recreation
Attributes
A large open space is dissected by a connecting
path, creating two separate multi-use fields for use as
programmed sports fields, event lawn or as an open
lawn for everyday recreation. The paths are lined with
shaded bleacher seating but also open areas for lawn
chairs and personal canopy structures on game days.

HEALTH & WELLNESS
A primary goal of the master plan is to create a safe
and accessible park for all. This includes not only
ADA compliance, but also safe and comfortable
spaces for all users. The programming along with
the chosen elements are part of the overall goal to
provide inclusive opportunities for multiple cultures,
abilities and generations to have safe access to
recreation and community.
