A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A REAL PROPERTY DONATION LOCATED AT 3000 39TH STREET FROM DR. RAJ K. SINGLA OF SINGLA REAL ESTATE COMPANY,INC. WHEREAS,Dr.Raj K. Singla,owner of Singla Eye Institute has dedicated numerous years to serving the community of Port Arthur; and WHEREAS,Dr.Raj K. Singla has retired and wishes to donate the medical office building located at 3000 39th Street to the City of Port Arthur for a noble cause, as delineated in Exhibit"A"; and WHEREAS,the City finds it beneficial to accept the real property donation and utilize it for various public purposes that will continue to serve and benefit the residents of Port Arthur. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to accept the land and its improvements located at 3000 39th Street, from Dr. Raj K. Singla of Singla Real Estate Company, Inc., in substantially the same form as attached as Exhibit"B". Section3. That the transfer of this property donation will be facilitated via the services of a title company and the City Manager is authorized to execute the necessary documents to complete the transfer of ownership. Section 4. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
