Background: The current storage system has reached the end of life and is no longer supported by the manufacturer. The ability to store data and run application servers is essential to City operations. Budget Impact: Funds in the amount of$69,615.69 are budgeted in the Information Technology Equipment Account#001-09-023-5241-00-10-000-. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE A NUTANIX HCI STORAGE AND VIRTUALIZATION SYSTEM FROM TANCHES GLOBAL MANAGEMENT, INC. THROUGH THE OMNIA PARTNERS CONTRACT #R200803- TD-SYNNEX & TANCHES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $69,615.69. FUNDING BUDGETED IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACCOUNT 001-09-023-5241-00-10- 000- WHEREAS,the current HPE Nimble system has reach end of life; and WHEREAS, a storage system is essential to operations; and WHEREAS,the Nutanix HCI Storage and Virtualization System will meet current storage needs with space for growth; and WHEREAS, OMNIA Partners is a cooperative purchasing program for state and local governments; and WHEREAS, per Resolutions Nos 11- 195 and 18- 140,the City entered into an interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing with U.S. Communities and National IPA respectively,now known as OMNIA Partners; and WHEREAS, Chapter 271 of the Local Government Code allows a city, by resolution of its governing body,to participate in cooperative purchasing programs as an alternative to a formal bid process; and WHEREAS, a Nutanix HCI Storage and Virtualization system can be purchased from Tanches Global Management, Inc. through OMNIA Partners Contract R200803-TD-SYNNEX & TANCHES for an amount not to exceed$69,615.69; and WHEREAS,the specifications for the system are attached as Exhibit"A". NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. P.R.NO. 23805 6/7/2024 Section 2. That, the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to purchase a Nutanix HCI Storage and Virtualization system from Tanches Global Management, Inc. through Omnia Partners Contract R200803-TD-SYNNEX & TANCHES for an amount not to exceed $69,615.69, in substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit"A". Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
