AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 24-15 IN ITS ENTIRETY, RELATING TO THE SALE OF PUBLIC PARK LAND APPROVED BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF PORT ARTHUR, LOCATED AT 2749 LAKESHORE DRIVE, COMMONLY KNOWN AS HUGHEN PARK WHEREAS, on April 23, 2024, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 24-15, authorizing the sale of Hughen Park, approved by the qualified voters of Port Arthur,to the prospective buyer, Daniel Carrillo Lozano; and; WHEREAS, the sale did not materialize because the buyer failed to close the transaction, resulting in the termination of the contract; and WHEREAS, the property will be relisted for sale on a multiple listing service by a licensed broker. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That Ordinance No. 24-15, in its entirety, is hereby rescinded. Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Ordinance shall be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
