Local Competitors: Our Restaurants: Golden Chick - Employees Golden Chick will be adding 35 new jobs to the city of Port Arthur. Golden Chick - Sales Projected to generate approximately $2 million in sales annually, resulting in over $1.5 million in sales tax revenue for the city over 10 years. The Golden Chick in Orange currently does over $1 million per year in sales. In the first six months of operations, the Golden Chick in Beaumont has generated just under $1 million in sales. Beaumont had the highest opening sales in the franchise’s history, which we believe will be surpassed with the Port Arthur opening. The Ice Cream Sandwich Co. A dessert shop that specializes in custom-made gourmet ice cream cookie sandwiches. The Ice Cream Sandwich Co. Projected annual sales: $400,000 Projected 10-year sales tax generated for the city of Port Arthur: $330,000 Employees to hire: 6 Property Taxes We are expected to bring in approximately $30,000 in property taxes for the city per year. Why Port Arthur This project will both benefit the city of Port Arthur and also fulfill our dream to do business in the city. Our father’s first job in America was at a gas station on Gulfway Dr. in 1986. The site has been sitting vacant for about a decade. We would like bring something novel to the city.
