Mitchell, Interim Deputy Fire Chief RE: Proposed Resolution 24092 Authorization to enter into a one-year contract with Impact Promotional Services, LLC, dba Got You Covered Work and Wear Uniforms, for Port Arthur Fire Department uniforms. Nature of the request: City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a one-year contract, with Impact Promotional Services LLC,Fort Worth,Texas with Buy Board pricing for the purchase of Port Arthur Fire Department uniform components such as pants, shirts,belts,hats, duty boots and jackets. Background The Port Arthur Fire Department has uniform requirements for members to meet professional appearance standards. Promotional Services LLC, Fort Worth,Texas, dba Got You Covered Work Wear and Uniforms can provide all Port Arthur Fire Department uniform requirements under Buy Board contract 670-22. Uniforms are replaced on an as needed basis. Also, each member of the Port Arthur Fire Department is given a maximin$500.00 allotment each fiscal year for uniform purchase as binding by local agreement between the City of Port Arthur and the local Firefighters union. Recommendations: The Port Arthur Fire Department recommends approval of P.R. 24092 Budget Considerations: The contract amount has been budgeted for in FY 24-25 PAFD Account#001-19-047-5251- 00-30-000. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH IMPACT PROMOTIONAL SERVICES, LLC DBA GOT YOU COVERED WORK WEAR & UNIFORMS OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PURSUANT TO BUYBOARD CONTRACT NO. 670-22, FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS WITH A PROJECTED BUDGETARY IMPACT NOT TO EXCEED $65,000.00; FUNDING IS AVAILABLE IN FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS ACCOUNT NO. 001-19-047-5251- 00-30-000. WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur supplies members of the Port Arthur Fire Department uniforms for professionalism and work safety; each commission member of the fire department is given$500.00 in their bank on the Got You Covered website; and WHEREAS, Impact Promotional Services LLC, dba Got You Covered Work Wear&Uniforms, is an approved vendor through a Buyboard contract; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 271 of the Local Government Code, a city may participate in a cooperative purchasing program such as BuyBoard; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 02-341, the City of Port Arthur entered into an interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing through the BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Program; and WHEREAS, Got You Covered Work Wear & Uniforms has provided a quote for uniform shirts, pants, belts, hats, winter jackets, and duty boots with BuyBoard Contract No. 670-22 pricing(see quotes attached hereto as Exhibit "A"); and WHEREAS, Exhibit"A"provides an itemized quote from the vendor detailing the per-unit costs for items available for purchase by fire department personnel; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the local bidding agreement established between the City of Port Arthur and Firefighters Local Union, the City of Port Arthur allocates an annual amount of$500.00 per fiscal year to each commissioned member of the fire department; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Impact Promotional Services, LLC, dba Got You Covered Work Wear& Uniforms, of Fort Worth, Texas, pursuant to BuyBoard Contract No. 670-22, for the procurement of Fire Department uniforms.The total expenditure under this agreement shall P.R.
