Discovery Stage One(Ages 7-10 years old)
1) Fun play & Socialize with others2) Introduction of Nutrition & Weight Management3) Fundamental motor skills like, jumping, running,4) Agility-Balance-Coordination (ABC’s)5) Building team work skills, a passion for sport & active lifestyle
Development Stage Two(Ages 9-12 years old)
1) Self-awareness, teamwork and communication through challenges2) Skills and identifying personal strengths and areas to improve on3) Learning about and practicing weight management 4) Passion for Sports & active lifestyle
Advancement Stage Three(Ages 13-15 years old)
1) Appropriate challenges outside of the students comfort zone2) Sports science such as nutrition and sport psychology3) Emphasis on Sociable and Team Work skills; Weight Management4) Assisting in Supervision of others5) Leading Training Exercises
Leadership Stage Four(Ages 16-19years old)
1) Focus on Maximizing Potential 2) Individual training and assignments3) Passion for Competition 4) Passion for Performance5) Thriving in Personal and Organizational expectations6) Supervising Training Exercises7) Elite Competitor with Occupational Goals
Retention (Any Age and Experience)
1) Sharing experience, knowledge, and passion for sports and health2) Training and Development Camps3) Individual coaching in team environment4) Passion for socializing and team work5) Self Discipline and Leadership Skills
MISSION STATEMENT: Lion Hearted is a non-profit organization based in Jefferson County, Texas. Incorporated to service youth in low-income families in and around Jefferson County with an all-volunteer unpaid staff. Our focus is youth development while building
family and community cohesion. Introducing an active lifestyle through health and fitness.
To combat the nation’s highest period of adolescence obesity. Operating under the
guidelines of the United States Olympic Training Center USA Boxing Safe Sport. All of our staff are registered United States Olympic & Paralympic Coaches and Officials.
