Growth and Service Area Expansion
Over the past 20 to 30 years, the City of Port Arthur has seen significant residential growth, expanding solid waste service areas without a proportional increase in resources. This
has led to equipment strain and employee fatigue. The Solid Waste Division acknowledges the need for strategic planning, infrastructure investment, and staffing adjustments to support
sustainable service delivery.
