The repair cost will be expensed to the fiscal year 2010 Public Works-Solid Waste Landfill Division Equipment Maintenance account # 403-1274-533.43-00. BACKGROUND: Equipment Services Division was contacted and advised that the unit would not run. We contacted the Cat dealer and made arrangements to perform the necessary repairs at our landfill location. (This procurement is exempt from the bid process under Texas Loca! Government Code Section 151.011, General Exemptions (7AJ, a procurement ojitems that are available jrom only one source, including items that are available from one source because ojpalents, copyrights, secret processes, or natural monopolies.) After inspection, it was determined that the wiring harness and fuse block were defective. They provided us with a detailed list of required repairs and all costs associated.
