RE: PR 24638 —Grant/Donation from Tractor Supply Company Foundation in the
amount of$250.00. Funding to be allocated in the Contributions-Donations
account# 001-17-000-4730-00-00-000.
Introduction:
'The purpose of this memorandum is to request City Council approval to accept a donation in
the amount of$250.00 in the form of a check from Tractor Supply Company Foundation.
Background:
Tractor Supply Company Foundation have generously offered to provide financial support to
the City of Port Arthur Police Department in the form of a donation totaling $250.00. The
funds will be designated for community engagement initiatives.
This contribution reflects the ongoing partnership between the City and Tractor Supply
Company Foundation and will enhance public safety services and strengthen community
relations.
Budget Impact:
The donated funds in the amount of$250.00 will be deposited into the City's designated
account for Police Department donations/contributions, account number 001-17-000-4730-00-
00-000, and will be expended in accordance with City financial policies. No matching funds
are required.

Recommendation:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City of
Port Arthur to accept the donation from Tractor Supply Company Foundation in the amount of
$250.00.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT A DONATION FROM TRACTOR SUPPLY COMPANY
FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $250.00; FUNDING TO BE
DEPOSITED IN THE CONTRIBUTIONS-DONATIONS ACCOUNT
001-17-000-4730-00-00-000.
WHEREAS,Tractor Supply Company Foundation have generously offered to
donate funds in the amount of$250.00 to the City of Port Arthur Police Department; and
WHEREAS,the City Council recognizes the importance of community
partnerships and values the contributions of neighborhood organizations that support
public safety and community engagement; and
WHEREAS,the City of Port Arthur Police Department will use these funds to
further strengthen its community-based initiatives and enhance services provided to the
residents of Port Arthur.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR,TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That the City Council directs the City Manager to accept the
contribution/donation from Tractor Supply Company Foundation, in the amount of
$250.00 to be deposited in the Contributions-Donations Account 001-17-000-4730-00-00-
000.
Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this resolution shall be spread upon the
Minutes of the City Council.
