RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION CANCELLING THE DECEMBER 30 , 2025
REGULARLY SCHEDULED CITY COUNCIL MEETING
(REQUESTED BY MAYOR MOSES)
WHEREAS , per Section 2-51 (c) of the Code of Ordinances, a
Council Meeting day can be changed upon a duly adopted motion of
the City Council with a finding that a temporary change is
necessary or is more convenient to conduct public business; and
WHEREAS, the City Council' s regularly scheduled meeting on
December 30, 2025 at 9: 30 a.m. falls within the observance of the
New Year holiday; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate and necessary to cancel the
December 30, 2025 Regular City Council Meeting at 9: 30 a.m.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS :
Section 1 . That the facts and opinions in the preamble are
true and correct .
Section 2 . That the December 30, 2025 Regular City Council
Meeting at 9 : 30 a.m. is cancelled.
Section 3 . That a copy of the oraption of this Resolution
be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council .
