Introduction Our mission as a youth council organization is to commit to serving as a voice for young people in our community by leading community initiatives, organizing service projects, and creating opportunities for youth engagement. By acting as a resource for our peers and fostering open communication between young people and city government, we strive to ensure that youth perspectives are heard and valued in decisions that shape our city. What can I Expect out of YAC? Introduction Our organization is deeply committed to fostering community engagement, organizing impactful events, and providing accessible services that enrich the lives of residents throughout the city. Central to our mission is empowering young people— giving them a platform to be heard, opportunities to lead, and the resources they need to thrive. We believe that when youth are actively supported and involved, the entire city benefits. What can I Expect out of YAC? Introduction Fresh Perspectives: YAC brings youth voices to the table, offering insight often missing in city decisions. Community Engagement: Acts as a bridge between young residents and city leaders through events and service. Policy Feedback: Offers input on city programs and policies that affect youth directly. Leadership Development: Prepares future leaders through real-world experience in civic involvement.
