AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS, AMENDING
EXHIBIT"B"IN ORDINANCE No. 26-25 To PROVIDE FOR PUBLIC NOTICE
AND PUBLICATION OF VOTING DATES AND TIMES FOR THE CITY'S
RUNOFF ELECTION To BE HELD ON JUNE 13, 2026.
WHEREAS,the City of Port Arthur,Texas,is a home-rule municipality in the State of Texas("City")
with a governing body composed of a Mayor and six(6) Councilmembers; and
WHEREAS,Ordinance No.26-25,which was adopted by the City on May 12,2026,ordered a runoff
election to be held on June 13,2026,for the purpose of electing Councilmembers for Districts 1, 3
and 4("Runoff Election"); and
WHEREAS, Exhibit `B" of Ordinance No. 26-25 provides notice and order of the June 13, 2026
Runoff Election with voting dates and times in compliance with the Texas Election Code; and
WHEREAS,the City and Jefferson County,who is conducting the City's Runoff Election,have agreed
to revised voting dates and times as attached in this Ordinance's Exhibit "A", and in compliance
with the Texas Election Code.
Now THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR,TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the facts and recitals above are true, correct and hereby incorporated for all
purposes.
SECTION 2. That the City hereby amends Exhibit`B"of Ordinance 25-26 with attached Exhibit
"A" as the Order and Notice of a Runoff Election to be held on June 13, 2026, in the City of Port
Arthur, Texas, Jefferson County, Texas with voting dates and times as agreed to by the City and
Jefferson County.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after the date of passage
and is so resolved.
SECTION 4. That a copy of the caption of this Ordinance shall be spread upon the Minutes of the
City Council.

ORDER AND NOTICE OF A RUNOFF ELECTION
IN THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR
JEFFERSON COUNTY,TEXAS
I,Charlotte Marie Moses,Mayor of the City of Port Arthur,Texas,as authorized by the Port Arthur
City Council, do hereby order and give notice of a Runoff Election to be held in the City of Port
Arthur, Texas, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, between the hours 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., for the
purpose of electing Councilmembers for District 1, District 3, and District 4 in the City of Port
Arthur, Texas. The term of office for the Councilmember shall be for a period of three years until
his/her respective successor shall have been elected and duly qualified.
Notice is hereby given that the City of Port Arthur will hold a Runoff Election for the purpose of
electing Councilmembers for District 1, District 3, and District 4 on Saturday, June 13, 2026,
between the hours 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m at:
City Hall, 444 4t1'Street, Port Arthur,Texas;
Port Arthur Public Library, 4615 9th Avenue,Port Arthur, Texas;
Port Acres Elementary, 6900 Jade Avenue, Port Arthur, Texas; and
R.L. Eldridge Community Center, 5262 S. Gulfway Drive,Port Arthur,Texas.
Said election shall be by Electronic Voting System as provided in Section 123.001 of the Election
Code, and the Port Arthur City Charter.
Early Voting by personal appearance will be conducted beginning:
Monday,June 1 through Friday, June 5, 2026, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 6, 2026, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 7, 2026, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday, June 8,through Tuesday, June 9, 2026, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
at City Hall, 444 4th Street, Port Arthur, Texas, and Port Arthur Public Library, 4615 9th Avenue,
Port Arthur,Texas.
