RE: PR 24932—Authorizing the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation to submit
payment to Conway Custom. Content for full page advertising in the 2026 Texas
Economic Guide.
The intent of this Agenda Item is to seek the City Council's approval for authorizing the Port Arthur
Economic Development Corporation to submit payment to Conway Custom Content for a full-page ad
in the 2026 Texas Economic Guide.
Background:
The Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation(PAEDC)seeks opportunities to market and
promote the City of Port Arthur and its economic development initiatives to site selectors,
businesses, and industry professionals. At this time PAEDC seeks to advertise the City of Port
Arthur in the 2026 Texas Economic Guide published by Conway Custom Content.
Budgetary Impact:
The budgetary impact of this item will be a one-time fee of$5,000;funds available in PAEDC Account
No. 120-80-625-5430-00-00-000(Advertising).
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the City Council approve the invoice from Conway Custom Content in the
amount of$5,000 for a full-page ad in the 2026 Texas Economic Guide.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYMENT OF AN INVOICE TO
CONWAY CUSTOM CONTENT OF PEACHTREE CORNERS,
GA FOR ADVERTISING SERVICES RELATED TO THE 2026
TEXAS ECONOMIC GUIDE; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT IN A
ONE-TIME AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($5,000.00), PAEDC FY 25-26,FUNDS AVAILABLE IN
EDC ACCOUNT NO. 120-80-625-5430-00-00-000 (ADVERTISING)
WHEREAS, the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation ("PAEDC") seeks
opportunities to market and promote the City of Port Arthur and its economic development
initiatives to site selectors,businesses, and industry professionals; and
WHEREAS, the PAEDC desires to place a full page advertisement in the 2026 Texas
Economic Guide published by Conway Custom Content as part of its ongoing marketing and
business recruitment efforts; and
WHEREAS, Conway Custom Content has submitted an invoice attached as Exhibit "A"
in a one-time amount of Five Thousand($5,000.00)Dollars for said advertisement placement; and
WHEREAS, at the May 4, 2026, monthly meeting of the PAEDC,the Board of Directors
recommended approval of this expenditure as beneficial to the promotion and economic
development of the City of Port Arthur.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR,TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That the City Council approves payment of an invoice to Conway Custom
Content for advertising services related to the 2026 Texas Economic Guide as denoted in Exhibit
"A" for a one-time fee of$5,000, funds available in PAEDC Account No. 120-80-625-5430-00-
00-000 (Advertising).
Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution shall be spread upon the Minutes
of the City Council.
