RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND/OR REAPPOINTING A DIRECTOR OR
DIRECTORS TO THE PORT ARTHUR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION (REQUESTED BY MAYOR PRO TEM KINLAW)
WHEREAS, the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation was created by
Ordinance No. 96-08; and
WHEREAS, the term of office is three years; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 504.051(b) of the Texas Local Government Code, a
director is appointed by the governing body of the authorizing municipality, serves at the
pleasure of that governing body, and may be removed by that governing body at any time
without cause; and
WHEREAS, the following persons are the current directors for the Port Arthur
Economic Development Corporation:

WHEREAS, Mayor Pro Tern Kinlaw wishes to re-appoint Ingrid Holmes as Director of
Position 5.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That a vote to consider the appointment was voted upon resulting in the
following being the directors of the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation pursuant
to Section 504.051(b) of the Texas Local Government Code:
