17ear Prince and Council Members, we would like to titke this opportunity to give ow gratitude for the
hard work: and commitment you all have devoted to our city. We recognize the time and research that goes
into governing a municipality as diverse as Port Arthwr.
We are submitting this letter because it has been brought to ow attention that our representatives at the
City have fail to keep community leaders informed of important community and city events or changes. It
is our desire to be an asset to the people of Por[ Arthur. We believe it takes a village to raise a child, and
through teamwork, our city can make an impact on the social and spiritual needs of ow people.
The Port Arthw Ministers Conference & Vicinity is a SOlc-3 organization that is working aggressively on
the streets of P.A.. We are reaching the community through ow quarterly rallies titled "Think before you
do if". We are a group of chwches throughout the city that have teamed up with the P.A. Police and Fire
departments to bring hope to ow city streets. Our group has impacted P.A. with a "Stop the Violence
March'' Jan. 2008, Prayer vigil Feb. 2008, Think before; you do it Rally in the park at Carver Terrace
Apartments in March 2008, Think before you do it Rally in the park at Port A.rthw Apartments April
2009, Think before you do it Rally in the park at Louis 1'Vlanor Apartments Aug. 2009. Therefore, ow
record of commitment to this city is obvious.
Therefore, it is ow request that ow group be placed on yow mailing list and be informed of city projects,
grants, employment opportunities, safety and important press conferences. Please send all correspondence
