REGARDING THE JOLY 4, 2010 FIREWORKS DISPLAY. TOTAL COST OF THE CONTRACT IS $14,800 (ACCOIINT NO. 001-1003.- 512.59-00; N99901) REQIIESTED BY CITY MANAGER WHEREAS, the City Council. deems it in the. best interests of the citizens to approve a contract with Alpha-Lee Enterprises, in. substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit "A", for the City's July 4, 2010 fireworks display; and WHEREAS, July 5, 2010 will be the rain date will be July 5, 2010, unless advised otherwise. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY.COIINCIL OF THE. CITY OF PORT ARTHIIR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Manager is herein authorized to execute a contract with Alpha-Lee Enterprises, Inc., in substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit "A", for the City's July 4,•2010 fireworks display, with a rain date of July 5, 2010. Section 3. That the City shall continue. to seek funding from the community to assist in offsetting the cost. Section 4. This will be an all aerial display where we furnish the state permit $50.00, city permit, insurance in the amount of $S,000,OOO.OQ, labor, transportation and all necessary equipment for firing display: We furnish everything except the firing site, security which you must provide. NOTE Any FD standby pumper fees will be the responsibility of city. The display will be electrically fired with duration of approximately 14 - 15 minutes. The total price of the display is $14,800.00. )f the event is cancelled the sponsor will. pay 50% of contract cost.
