RESOLUTION N0.
A RESOLUTION AS IT PERTAINS TO THE GOLDEN
TRIANGLE VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARR (REQUESTED BY
COUNCILMEMBER HENDERSON)
WHEREAS, Jefferson County has committed to assume maintenance
of the Golden Triangle Veteran's Memorial Park located at 7000
Highway 87 (7900 Gulfway Drive); and
WHEREAS, Jefferson County is requesting that the City of Port
Arthur agree to continue to provide city utilities (water and
garbage pickup), at no cost, to Veteran's Memorial Park; and
WHEREAS, water consumption at this location is usually
minimal; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the citizens to
continue to provide city utilities (water and garbage pickup) to
Veteran's Memorial Park at no cost to the Park.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1.
That. the facts and opinions in the preamble
are true and correct.
Section 2. That the City will provide city utilities
(water & garbage pickup) to the Veteran's Memorial Park, located at
7000 Highway 87, at no cost to the Park.
Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution
be spread. upon the Minutes of the City Council.
