A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING THE URBAN LAND BANK PLAN UNDER
THE NSP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, under th.e Neighborriood Stabilization Program, the
City of Fort Arthur was awarded funding to establish an Urban
Land Bank; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 379 (e)(.007) of the Local
Government: Code, befoz-e adopting a plan, a municipality shall
hold a public hearing as to the proposed plan; and
WHEREAS, it is required that notice be given to all
community housing development organizations and neighborhood
associations identified by the municipality as serving the
neighborhoods in which properties anticipated to be available
for sale to the land bank are located; and
WHEREAS, copies of= the propo:~ed plan must be made available
to the public not later than the 60th day before the public
hearing.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1.
That the facts and opinions in the preamble
are true and correct.
Section 2. That a public hearing is scheduled for May

Section 3. That a copy of the proposed plan will be
made available to the public in the City Secretary's Office on
May 24, 2010 and will also be sent to the above-listed
organi•,~ations.
Section 4. That a copy of the caption of this
Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
