RECOMMENDATION:
The City Manager. recommends that the. City Council authorize a subscription
advertisement agreement with .the E/ Mensa1ero News for a twelve (1.2) month
period beginning April 2010 and ending March 201 1 in the amount of $6,000.
BACKGROUND:
The City of .Port Arthur is currently utilizing the services of the E/ Perico Spanish
Newsoaoer for a wide range of advertisements including general information and
community events to Hispanic citizens. Therefore, we are requestirig authorization
to acquire a subscription with E/ Mensaiero News, a Hispanic newspaper offering
informational services to our Hispanic citizens:
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is available in the General Government, Administration, Special Projects
Fund, Account Number 001-1003-512-59-00, Project Number M97903.
SUMMARY:
The City Mariager recommends that the City Couricil authorize a subscription
advertisement agreement with E/ Mensaiero News, 3920 Delaware Drive, Port
Arthur, Texas 77642, fora twelve (12) morith period in the amount of $6,000.
