Re: Proposed Resolution No//12992
Now that the Texas Rangers and the District Attomey's office have determined the
criminal allegations lodged by the Port Arthur Police Association and CLEAT against
three top Administrators in the Police Depamnent were "unfounded", I believe that a
thorough investigation of this entire matter is warranted to determine what happened,
why, what rules, if any, were violated, and what were the motivating factors behind this
unfounded barrage.
All things considered, I believe that it is in the City's best interest this matter be
thoroughly investigated by an independent external source to determine relative facts and
make such findings available to the City Council, City Manager and general public.
