RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AS IT PERTAINS TO NAKINO
REPAIRS TO 3311 12~ STREET (ACCOUNT NO.
130-1430-551.89-00)
WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur had contracted with
Southeast Texas Community Development Corporation as to
build Iow-to-moderate income housing; and
WHEREAS, Southeast Texas Community Development
Corporation used CDGB and/or Home Funds to facilitate the
construction of the house at 3311 12tn Street; and
WHEREAS, deficiencies have been noted in the house; and
WHEREAS, quotes have been received as denoted in
Exhibit ~A" to repair the house.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE
THE CITY OF PORT ART~IUR:
Section 1. That
preamble are true and correct.
IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
the facts and opinions in the
Section 2. That the City Manager is herein
authorized to fund the repairs as denoted in Exhibit '~".
Section 3. That the contractors will provide a one
year warranty to the homeowner and the City will not be
responsible therefore.

Section 4. That the City Attorney is herein
authorized to seek reimbursement of said funds from
Southeast Texas Community Development Corporation as well
as from any contractors that have breached
thereon.
Section 5. That a copy of the

MEMORANDUM
TO: Dale Watson, Director, Planning & Community Development
FROM: Beverly Freeman, Housing Programs Administrator
DATE: :January 25, 2005
RE: Status Report - Alice Miller (3311 12th St.)
Attached, you will find the work write-up and bid document for the proposed
work to be done at 3311 12th St.
A meeting was scheduled with Ms. Miller to discuss the proposed scope of
repair work. The original scope of work specified removal of the concrete slab
in the garage at 18" from the outer walls, cutting through the slab and
reinforcement wire; and install new cement in garage using 3000 PS! concrete.
Ns. Miller agreed and signified by initialing the work write-up document.
Since then, it has been decided to base the work to be done in Ms. Miller's
garage according to the Engineer's recommendations. The Engineer is available
to assist with monitoring and the oversight of this project. Ns. Miller has been
notified and is in agreement with the modified scope of work for the garage.
