This proposed ordinance increases the General Fmad Budget by $47,000 to complete the community centers in E1 Vista and on West 7th Street, and to replace flooring at the Lakeview center. BACKGROUND On October 26, 2004, the City Council authorized the moving of surplus buildings from DeQueen Elementary School to City owned property on West 7th and to El Vista for use as a community center. These buildings have been moved and are being remodeled to serve their intended purposes. The 2005 budget included $25,000 to fund this project. The City expects that Project H.O.P.E. will lease said property at West 7th for a One Stop Shop. At this time, the estimated cost to complete this project is $67,000. This amendment will increase the budget $42,000 to complete this project. The floor at the Lakeview Community Center has been removed and needs to be replaced. This was not budgeted. The estimated cost is $5.000. P. O. NO. 5501 JlA: 2/22/05 ORDINANCE NO.
