A RF_~OLUTION AS IT PERTAINS TO SUPERVISORY STAFF SUPPORT FOR THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR SECTION 4A ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION WHER~.~kS, Per Resolution 05-051, the City Manager was authorized to provide supervisory staff support for the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation; and WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur 4A Economic Development Corporation no longer requires that the City Manager provide supervisory staff support; and WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur 4A Economic Development Corporation desires to contract with Floyd Batiste as a consultant to provide temporary, short-term oversight, daily coordination, and management activities on a part-time basis (the contract is attached in substantially the same form as Exhibit "A'); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Manager is no longer required to provide supervisory staff support as it pertains to the Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation. Section 3. That Floyd Batiste will serve as a consultant to provide temporary, short-term oversight, daily coordination and management activities of the Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation on a temporary part time basis. Section 4. That a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
