A RESOLUTION AS IT PERTAINS TO THE COSTS OF A PLANNING STUDY AND FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS FOR THE WESTSIDE DEVELOPMENT AND THE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS TO WEST 7TH STREET (RANSOM HOWARD STREET) WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors desires to continue its participation in the Westside Development project; and WHERF-~S, Dikita Engineering has presented a cost estimate to the Port Arthur 4A Economic Development Corporation for the following projects: 1. Planning Study and Feasibility Analysis for the Westside; 2. Road Improvement for West 7~h Street (Ransom Howard Street); and WHEREAS, the total cost estimate for the two projects is $222,070 as described in Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, payments will be due to Dikita Engineering at the last day of each month for the first three {3) months. The final payment will be due upon the delivery of the Final Planning document and Feasibility Report; and Pr13323 WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur 4A Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, at their October 31, 2005 board meeting agreed to pay one-half of the cost of the projects; NOW, TI-~REFORE, BE IT RE~OLVED BY TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. The total cost estimate for West Side Development and Road Improvements to Ransom Howard Street is 0222,070. Section 3. The Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation agrees to pay up to one half of the costs and the City of Port Arthur agrees to pay the remaining one half. Each parties' share will be $111,035. Section 4. That a copy of the caption of the Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
