DATE: November 28, 2005 SUBJECT: Proposed Resolution No. 13351 Recommendation The Purchasing Division recommends that the City Council renew Automatic Transmission Repairs contract with AAMCO Transmissions of Port Arthur, Texas for an estimated amount of $20,000. Background On September 28, 2004 the City Council awarded the bid for Automatic Transmission Repairs. The contract was one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. We want to renew for the additional one-year. Budgetary and fiscal effect Funds are allocated under line item 43 in various department budgets. Staffing effect None Summary The Purchasing Division recommends that the City Council renew Automatic Transmission Repairs contract with AAMCO Transmissions of Port Arthur, Texas for an estimated amount of $20,000. A RESOLUTION RENEWING THE CONTRACT FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SERVICE TO AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS FOR THE RATE OF $34.00 PER HOUR WHEREAS, periodically City vehicles may need transmission repairs or maintenance; and, WHEREAS, a contract was awarded on September 28, 2004; WHEREAS, the contract was for one year with two additional renewable years, WHEREAS, the city would Dike to renew for one additional year. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Port Arthur hereby the approves the renewal of contract (first renewal) between the City of Port Arthur and AAMCO Transmissions of Port Arthur, Texas for a rate of thirty-four dollars per hour; and, Section 3. AAMCO Transmission of Port Arthur shall sign this resolution agreement to the terms hereof, Section 4. That, a copy of caption of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of the City Council. P.R.
