This equipment will be maintained in our Warehouse inventory and charged to the appropriate account when used; #410- 1253 - 532.35- 00 for routine replacement meters /equipment, #414- 1621 - 532.85 -00 for new customer meters /connections. BACKGROUND The City has standardized on the Badger Orion radio -read system (sole source for AMR meters), but which can be easily adapted to our existing large Sensus meters with the addition of a Universal Transmitter. Fire Service meters measure water used through fire suppression and /or fire sprinkler systems, but in certain large applications can be used for normal water consumption. Many facilities are upgrading their systems (i.e. schools & large businesses) and we are finding and correcting un- metered or improperly- metered connections. Also, several new developments are requesting fire service only connections, or services that require an exceptionally wide range of metering. This award establishes unit prices for various meters in the Badger Orion family. Mills Blvd., Port Arthur, Texas 77640. Manufacturer shall supply all equipment necessary to furnish a fully automated meter reading management system and water meters. While the primary function shall be to provide accurate and timely meter reading data for billing purposes, the system shall also furnish consumption and other pertinent data to facilitate enhanced operation and management of the total water distribution system.
