program in the Amount of $25,002.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Public Works Solid Waste Division recommends that City Council authorize the purchase of 400
each 96 gallon Toter carts, 500 wheel parts, 250 axle parts, 500 palnut parts and 150 lids for 96 gallon
toters from Toter, Inc. of Statesville, NC through the State of Texas TXSmartbuy program pricing in
the amount of $25,002. The price includes hot - stamped City logos on each side, freight and no
processing fee.
BACKGROUND:
Replacement toters and additional parts are required for the residential garbage carts due to new
residents, damaged toters, and theft. The State of Texas TXSmartbuy contract number is #450 -82.
The Toter carts also come with a ten (10) year warranty.
TOTERS COST BREAKDOWN
400 each of 96 gallon Toter carts @ $48.48/ea = $ 19,392.00
500 Toters wheels @ $4.04/ea = $ 2,020.00
250 Toter axles @ $3.12 = $ 780.00
500 Toter palnuts @ $.28 /ea = $ 140.00
150 Lids for 96 gallon Toter @ $17.80 = $ 2,670.00
$ 25,002.00
