Stat Care EMS operates under the same conditions as MetroCare EMS and has been affected financially by Hurricane Rita and changes in the industry. Hurricane Rim caused many hardships that were unforeseen including a loss of income and increased expenses. The financial instability and system instability faced by ambulance systems in Southeast Texas has most recently been seen by Orange County Ambulance Service. Orange County Ambulance Service, which is the primary 911 Provider in Orange County, has notified the local governments that they will cease service on June l, 2006 after 27 years of service. Please do not hesitate to eomaet me at (409) 833-3834, ifI may be of assistance. Sincerely, Rod Carroll CPA, EMT-I President/CEO CC: Mayor Oscar Ortiz
