NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR
The City Council of the City of Port Arthur will hold a public hearing at 9:00 a.m.
on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in thc City Council Chambers, 5t~ Floor, City Hall, 444
4t~ Strut to consider whether or not to amend any of the following described
regulations and provisions of the City Zoning Ordinance No. 89-54, as amended
(but not changing the zoning classification of specific property)
Consideration of amendment of Section 7 (Use of Land and
Buildings) to provide that the "Open Salvage Yard, rags, iron,
vehicles or machinery" type use is permitted in the Industrial;
"I", District by Specific Use Permit.
The complete written description and text of the proposed amendment to the
regulation and provisions of the Zoning Ordinance will be presented at the Public
Hearing and are now on file for public examination in the Planning Department,
Room 337, City Hall, 444 4th Street, Port Arthur, Texas.
