A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZIN~ THE CALLIN~ OF A PUBLIC REARING TO CONSIDER WHETHER OR NOT PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE OPERATION OF PROPOSED TAXI BUSINESS, ~ & H TAXI. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Port Arthur hereby, in accordance with Section 114-74 of the Code of Ordinances of said City, authorizes the calling of a public hearing to consider whether or not public convenience and necessity require the operation in the City of the proposed taxi company business of G&H Taxi owned by George Morris. Section 3. That said public hearing will be held June 6, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 444 Fourth Street, Port Arthur, Texas. Section 4. That the City Secretary shall cause notice to be published in the Port Arthur News at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing date. Section S. That the City Secretary shall cause a copy of said notice to be mailed by certified mail, return receipt z.pr13565 requested, at least thirteen (13) days before the hearing date to the applicant shown on the attached Exhibit "A", and all existing taxi company business permit holders attached as Exhibit "B". Section 6. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
