A RESOLUTION RESCINDING IN ITS ENTIRETY RESOLUTION NO. 12 -124 WHICH AUTHORIZED A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR AND GMC CONSULTANTS, LLC, HOUSTON, TEXAS, FOR SERVICES AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR PREQUALIFYING LOW -INCOME HOUSEHOLDS FOR HURRICANE IKE RECOVERY ROUND 2.2 PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12 -124, the City Council awarded a contract for services and technical assistance for prequalifying low- income households for Hurricane Ike Recovery Round 2.2 Program to GMC Consultants of Houston, Texas; and WHEREAS, as of this date, GMC Consultants, LLC has not executed the contract; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Port Arthur that the City Council rescind the contract with GMC Consultants of Houston, Texas. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Council hereby rescinds Resolution No. 12 -124 in its entirety, which awarded a contract for services and technical assistance for prequalifying low- income s.pr17495 households for Hurricane Ike Recovery Round 2.2 Program to GMC Consultants of Houston, Texas, in the amount of $125,000. Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution shall be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
