I. INVOCATION, PLEDGE & ROLL CALL
Councilmember Williamson gave the invocation followed with the pledge to the flag.
The City Council of the City of Port Arthur met in Special Session on Tuesday, February
12, 2013 at 9:01 a.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, with the following
members present: Mayor Deloris "Bobbie" Prince; Councilmembers Elizabeth "Liz"
Segler, Morris Albright, III., Harold A. Doucet, Sr., Robert E. "Bob" Williamson and Kerry
"Twin" Thomas; City Manager Floyd T. Johnson, City Secretary Sherri Bellard and City
Attorney Valecia Tizeno.
Mayor Pro Tem Willie "Bae" Lewis was absent from the Special Meeting
Councilmembers Raymond Scott, Jr. and Derrick Freeman were absent from the Special
Meeting.
II. PUBLIC HEARING
To Review Plans For The Proposed Annexation Of Property, Tract
I Being A 12.04 Acre Tract Out Of The T. & N.O.R.R. Survey,
Abstract No. 258, And Tract II Being 0.9973 Acre Of Land Part Of
T & N.O.R.R. Survey, Abstract No. 258
The Mayor introduced the above - mentioned Public Hearing at 9:02 a.m.
City Attorney Valecia Tizeno reported the status and presented an overview of the
above - mentioned proposed annexation.
The Mayor requested to hear from anyone present in the audience who wished to
speak regarding the above - mentioned item.
No one appeared before the City Council to address the above - mentioned item.
Upon the motion of Councilmember Thomas seconded by Councilmember Williamson
and carried unanimously, the City Council closed the Public Hearing at 9:06 a.m.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
Upon the motion by Councilmember Thomas, seconded by Councilmember Williamson
and carried unanimously, the City Council adjourned their Special Meeting at 9:06 a.m.
An audio -tape of this meeting is on file in the office of the City Secretary and is made a
part of the official minutes of this meeting.
