RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A QUOTE FROM 1 CHOICE
PROCUREMENT SOLUTIONS, LLC, OF CHESTERBROOK,
PENNSYLVANIA IN THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $6,845.60
FOR FY 2013 PERIODICAL SUBSCRIPTIONS; FUNDING AVAILABLE
IN ACCOUNT NO. 001-1403-551.47-02
WHEREAS, the Port Arthur Public Library, in order to better serve its patrons, subscribes to
approximately 170 serial publications (magazines and periodicals); and
WHEREAS, it is both economically advantageous and necessary in practice to have a magazine
subscription service manage the Library's subscriptions, and to that end quotes were solicited from
magazine subscription services and five quotes were received (quote tabulation attached as Exhibit "A ");
and
WHEREAS, the lowest quote was submitted by 1s Choice Procurement Solutions, LLC, of
Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania (no local bids were received), in the amount of Six Thousand Eight Hundred
Forty-five Dollars and Sixty Cents ($6,845.60) with the option to renew for two additional one -year
periods (attached as Exhibit "B ").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
THAT, the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
THAT, the City of Port Arthur hereby awards the quote to 1S Choice Procurement Solutions,
LLC, of Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, and authorizes payment in the not to exceed amount of $6,845.60
with an option to renew said quote for two additional one -year periods.
THAT, a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
