A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NUMBER
13 -323 AS IT PERTAINS TO THE 2013 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ALLOCATION,
WHICH INCREASED THE CONTRACT AMOUNT
FROM $1,061,338 TO $1,074,229 (REQUESTED BY
COUNCILMEMBER ALBRIGHT)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13 -323, on July 29,2013, the City Council
agreed to submit an amended request for the 39 (2013 Program Year) amended allocations to
the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the amount of
$1,074,229 (a copy of the revised budget is attached hereto as Exhibit "A "); and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of Port Arthur to amend
the 2013 Community Development Block Grant, as well as the 39 Year Consolidated Plan to
address additional concerns of the City Council as delineated in Exhibit "B ", which
amendment, if any, will be determined by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
THAT, Resolution Number 13 -323 is hereby amended as delineated in Exhibit "B ",
and is hereby approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Arthur to assure
compliance with the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1974, as amended Public Law
93 -383.
THAT, the City Manager is designated to sign all documents in connection with the
proposed list of projects.
THAT, a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City
Council.
READ, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this day of August A.D., 2013 at a
Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Port Arthur, Texas by the following vote:
