SCHMYSER SUBDIVISION NO. 3, BEING THE CORNER OF GRANNIS AVENUE AND REV. RANSOM HOWARD STREET, FROM THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR SECTION 4A ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,900.00; FUNDING AVAILABLE IN ACCOUNT NO. 001 - 1003- 512.59 -00 m97903. WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur desires to purchase the property owned by the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation (PAEDC) at the corner of Grannis Avenue and Rev. Ransom Howard Street; and WHEREAS, on January 14, 2014, the PAEDC Board approved the sale of the property, in substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit "A ", for a purchase price of $3,900.00; and WHEREAS, it is now deemed in the best interest of the citizens to approve the purchase of Lots 1 through 8, Block 3, W. H. Schmyser Subdivision No. 3, being the corner of Grannis Avenue and Rev. Ransom Howard Street. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the City of Port Arthur to purchase Lots 1 through 8, Block 3, W. H. Schmyser s.pr18199 Subdivision No. 3 from the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development in the amount of $3,900.00, in substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
