NO. 18178 - PUBLIC HEARING REQUESTED TO CONSIDER GRANTING SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - 221 DATE: 02/05/2014 Attached is P.R. No. 18178 calling for a public hearing to consider granting Specific Use Permit - 221 (SUP# 221) for 0.41546 acre of Land consisting of all of Lots 26, 27 and 28, Block 27, Griffing Addition, City of Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas. The purpose of this request is to establish a wrecker service /storage facility. The public hearing shall be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. P.R. NO. 18178 02/05/2014 -PDL RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER GRANTING SPECIFIC USE PERMIT 221 (SUP# 221) FOR THE OPERATION OF A WRECKER SERVICE AND STORAGE FACILITY ON 0.41546 ACRE OF LAND CONSISTING OF ALL OF LOTS 26, 27 AND 28, BLOCK 27, GRIFFING ADDITION, (A.K.A. 3517 25TH STREET), PORT ARTHUR, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS Z14 -02 [SUP# 221] WHEREAS, the applicant - Lenin Ruiz is requesting that the City of Port Arthur consider granting a Specific Use Permit for a wrecker service and storage facility to be located on 0.41546 acre of land consisting of all of Lots 26, 27 and 28, Block 27, Griffing Addition (A.K.A. 3517 25th Street) in Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas as delineated in Exhibit "A "; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, a public hearing must precede any zoning change; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: THAT the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. THAT the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed this case on February 3, 2014. THAT a public hearing to consider whether to grant applicant a specific use permit on 0.41546 acre of land consisting of all of Lots 26, 27 and 28, Block 27, Griffing Addition (A.K.A. 3517 25th Street) in Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas as delineated in Exhibit "A" shall be held on March 18, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, Fifth Floor, City Hall, 444 Fourth Street. P.R. NO. 18178 02/05/2014 -PDL Page 2 of 4 THAT notice of the public hearing shall be published at least fifteen days prior in the official newspaper of the City before going to the City Council. THAT a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
