RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SEARCH FIRM PROFILE AS IT PERTAINS TO
THE CITY MANAGER POSITION
WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur City Manager position is vacant with regard to regular
appointee; and,
WHEREAS,pursuant to the Charter of the City of Port Arthur the City Manager shall serve as the
chief administrative and executive officer of the City; and,
WHEREAS, said office is critical to the efficient and effective provision of services to the
citizens of Port Arthur through municipal operations; and,
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Port Arthur pursuant to Resolution 14-230 contracted
with Strategic Government Resources, Inc., to engage in a professional executive search firm to fill this
position; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions of the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That the City Manager search profile is hereby approved in substantially the
same form as attached hereto as Exhibit"A".
Section 3. That Strategic Government Resources, Inc. is hereby authorized to proceed with alI
recruitment activities to include use of the City Manager Search Profile as attached in Exhibit "A" in the
professional executive search to fill the City of Port Arthur City Manager vacancy.
Section 4. That a copy of the caption of the Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City
Council.
