I. INVOCATION, PLEDGE & ROLL CALL
Councilmember Freeman gave the invocation followed with the pledge to the flag.
The City Council of the City of Port Arthur met in Special Session on Wednesday, May
21, 2014 at 10:05 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, with the following
members present: Mayor Deloris "Bobbie" Prince; Councilmembers Raymond Scott, Jr.,
Elizabeth "Liz" Segler, Willie "Bae" Lewis, Jr., Derrick Freeman and Kerry "Twin"
Thomas; Interim City Manager John A. Comeaux, P.E., City Secretary Sherri Bellard and
City Attorney Valecia Tizeno.
Mayor Pro Tern Robert E. "Bob" Williamson was absent from the Special Meeting.
Councilmember Morris Albright, III. was absent from the Special Meeting.

(1) P.O. 6384 — An Ordinance Canvassing The Returns And
Declaring The Results Of A General Election/Joint Held May
10, 2014 For The Purpose Of Electing Councilmembers For

The City Manager introduced the above-mentioned Proposed Ordinance.
The motion was made by Councilmember Freeman and seconded by Councilmember
Lewis that Proposed Ordinance No. 6384 be adopted.
The following roll call vote was taken on the motion to adopt Proposed Ordinance No.
6384:

The City Secretary issued the Oath and Statements of office to the newly elected and
appointed Mayor Pro Tem.

IV. ADJOURNMENT
Upon the motion by Mayor Pro Tem Freeman, seconded by Councilmember Thomas
and carried unanimously, the City Council adjourned their Special Meeting at 10:28 a.m.
An audio-tape of this meeting is on file in the office of the City Secretary and is made a
part of the official minutes of this meeting.
