A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2014 FORD F-150 PICK-UP TRUCKS FROM SILSBEE FORD OF SILSBEE, TEXAS, FOR THE CODE ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION, IN THE NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $34 , 800 . 00 . FUNDING AVAILABLE IN CODE ENFORCEMENT ACCOUNT NUMBER 001- 1401-551 . 93-00 WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division solicited quotes for two (2) F-150 pick-up trucks for the Code Enforcement Department, Environmental Health Division; and WHEREAS, three (3) quotes were received (a copy of the bid tabulation is attached as Exhibit "A") ; and WHEREAS, the Code Enforcement Department along with the Purchasing Division have reviewed the quotes submitted by the various vendors and determined that Silsbee Ford of Silsbee, Texas, was the lowest and most responsive bidder at $34, 800 . 00; and WHEREAS, the Code Enforcement Department along with the Purchasing Division are recommending that the City Council authorize the purchase of two (2) 2014 Ford F-150 pick-up trucks from Silsbee Ford of Silsbee, Texas, for the Environmental Health Division to replace the current 2000 Ford Rangers; and WHEREAS, a copy of the bid from Silsbee Ford is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" . NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1 . That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct . Section 2 . That the Code Enforcement Department is hereby authorized and directed to purchase a two (2 ) 2014 Ford F-150 Pick-up truck from Silsbee Ford of Silsbee, Texas, in the not-to-exceed amount of $34, 800 .
