A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF THE
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR SECTION 4A ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND THE NATIONAL
DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL FOR 501 PROCTER, AT NO
ADDITIONAL COST
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of Port Arthur to enhance the
appearance of the downtown area and to create an environment conducive to business and
entertainment activities for the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation
("PAEDC") desires to relocate its offices to downtown Port Arthur; and
WHEREAS, per Resolution No. 12-641, the City Council authorized PAEDC to pursue
the building development plan to retrofit the building located at 501 Procter; and
WHEREAS, per Resolution No. 13-080, the City Council authorized PAEDC to enter
into an agreement with the National Development Council (the "NDC") to manage the
redevelopment process of the building located at 501 Procter Street; and
WHEREAS, on September 9, 2014, the PAEDC Board of Directors approved extending
the contract date from September 30, 2014 to March 31, 2015 to allow NDC to continue to
manage the 501 Procter Project to its completion.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the extension of the contract date from
September 30, 2014 to March 31, 2015 between PAEDC and NDC to allow NDC to continue to
manage the 501 Procter Project to its completion, at no additional cost.
Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of
the City Council.

at a Meeting of the City Council of the City of Port Arthur, Texas, by the following vote:
