A RESOLUTION AS IT PERTAINS TO A CAMP FOR AT- RISK YOUTH WHEREAS, on December 19, 2006, per Resolution 06-514, the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission awarded the City of Port Arthur $2,574,700 for (1) renovation and expansion of the City's Health Department, (2) special services for at-risk youth, and (3) the abatement of abandoned structures; and received Youth and Prevention and Intervention WHEREAS, the Community $152,000 of said award for Adults, Counseling Services, Services; and WHEREAS, on February 13, Prosecution Program has Special Services-At Risk and 2007, City Council approved teaching contracts services; and WHEREAS, on March 13, 2007, City Council approved class monitors to monitor the WHEREAS, the Community Prosecution Manager has camp as delineated in Exhibit "A" for at-risk youth; WHEREAS, the camp will Prosecution Manager and four per Resolution No. 07-066, the for the above described per Resolution No. 07-115, the classes; and recommended a and also be attended by the Community adult teachers, who will incorporate additional Community Prosecution Program teaching classes into the camp activities; and z.pr14192 WHEREAS, the estimate cost for 37 people to attend the camp is $6,290, which would include 32 at-risk youth and 5 adults; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest to approve the camp for at-risk youth. That the Community Prosecution Manager is herein authorized to register at-risk youth and the attending teachers for the camp as described in Exhibit "A". Section 3.
