Notice is hereby given pursuant to Chapter 551
of the Government Code, that a "Downtown
Revitalization Meeting" will be held on
Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at the
Port Arthur International Seafarer's Center, 401
Houston Avenue, Port Arthur, Texas, at which a
possible quorum of the City Council may be present.

<° The charrette process will provide a framework for creating a
> shared vision for our City. This process will result in a new
conceptual downtown master plan that will guide change
over time.
WHAT IS A CHARRETTE? , ,
A charrette (pronounced[shuh-ret]J, sometimes called a design
charrette, is an intense period of design or planning activity.
Charrettes take place in many disciplines, including land use
planning, or urban planning. In planning, the charrette has AAA
become a technique for consulting with all stakeholders. This

type of charrette (sometimes called an enquiry by design)
typically involves intense and possibly multi-day meetings, - \.
involving municipal officials, developers, and residents.
