P.R. No. 19058 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOULTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR SECTION 4A ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO ADVERTISE ITS MARKETING CAMPAIGN BILLBOARD BUILD IT, SHIP IT, AND RAIL IT, IN THE LOUISIANA MARKET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016 USING CORNERSTONE ADVERTISING & DESIGN AND BASS LTD BILLBOARD OF LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $18,000 WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation ("PAEDC") desires to advertise Port Arthur, Texas as a place to do business in the Louisiana market; and WHEREAS, at its regular board meeting on July 6, 2015 the PAEDC Board of Directors voted to advertise in the Louisiana market by placing a billboard advertisement in a high traffic area; and WHEREAS, the cost for the billboard ad in the Louisiana market using BASS LTD through Cornerstone Advertising & Design is estimated to be approximately $18,000 for fiscal year 2015-2016 as shown in Exhibit"A"; and WHEREAS, through Cornerstone Advertising & Design and BASS LTD, the billboard will be located in a high traffic area in the Louisiana market where it will attract 200,000 people weekly, as shown in Exhibit"B". NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Council approves PAEDC to advertise in the Louisiana market by placing a billboard in a high traffic area where it will attract 200,000 people weekly for fiscal year 2015-2016 using BASS LTD Billboard of Lafayette, Louisiana through Cornerstone Advertising & Design at a cost not to exceed $18,000 as shown in Exhibit"A". Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
