RE: Proposed Resolution No. 19192
Nature of the Request:
This truck is for the Utility Manager to perform his job duties, for multiple employees to
travel to education events, and can be used in the field as well. Silsbee Ford has submitted a
quote through Buyboard for the purchase of an F-150 crew cab pickup truck.
StaffAnalysis, Considerations:
Purchase of this unit will allow continuity of required O&M tasks.
Recommendation:
I recommend that the City Council approve Proposed Resolution No. 19192 authorizing the
purchase of a'A-Ton crew cab F-150 pickup truck from the Buyboard vendor, Silsbee Ford, of
Silsbee,Texas in the total amount not to exceed$26,204.40.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
ONE (1) I/2-TON CREW CAB PICKUP TRUCK FOR THE
UTILITY OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT FROM
SILSBEE FORD, OF SILSBEE, TEXAS, IN THE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF $26,204.40. FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE IN
UTILITY OPERATIONS ACCOUNT NO. 410-1253-532.59-
00.
WHEREAS, the Utility Operations Department routinely uses various trucks in the
construction, operation, and maintenance activities of the Wastewater Conveyance system
throughout the City; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 02-341, the City of Port Arthur entered into an
interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing with the Buyboard Cooperative Purchasing
Program("Buyboard"); and,
WHEREAS, City staff has solicited a Buyboard quote for a F-150 Crew Cab Pickup
Truck, as delineated in our Purchasing Policy; and,
WHEREAS, Silsbee Ford, of Silsbee, Texas, through Buyboard, provided the quote
attached as EXHIBIT"A", which meets our specifications,NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ARTHUR:
THAT, the City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of a F-150 Crew Cab Pickup
Truck from Silsbee Ford, of Silsbee, Texas, through Buyboard, in the total amount of
$26,204.40; and,
THAT a copy of the caption of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of the City
Council.
